The power of breathwork
Breathwork is an ancient technique used in many cultures around the world to promote well-being and spiritual growth. We have largely forgotten this valuable tradition in the West. At BaseQamp we experience the immense power of breathwork and place it at the center of our approach to teaching you to transform your state of being. Breathwork makes the connection from the heart strength with our head strength, abdominal strength and physical strength/consciousness.
In modern Western society we often live from our heads. Our thoughts are constantly in motion, full of doubts and duality. This mental storm can trap us in a state of stress and confusion. Breathwork offers a powerful method to calm this storm and find a deeper connection with ourselves. By breathing consciously we can move to our heart, the eye of your storm. Here we find peace, overview and authentic power. From this place we can better understand and process our emotions. Breathwork can also support us in releasing and healing stored trauma in our body.
In addition, breathwork plays an important role in stress regulation. In the hectic pace of modern life, we often experience a lot of stress. This is unhealthy for our physical and mental health. By consciously breathing we activate the parasympathetic nervous system. This helps us relax and puts the body in a state of recovery.
At BaseQamp we use various breathing techniques to support you in achieving this state of inner peace and resilience. These techniques range from simple breathing patterns for stress regulation to more advanced methods such as connected and shamanic breathing that aim to recognize and allow (unconscious) tensions and traumas.
